Dr Janja Komljenovic

Dr Janja Komljenovic is Lecturer in Higher Education at Lancaster University. Her academic interests broadly concern higher education policy and governance, political economy of higher education and the digital economy. Before joining Lancaster University, Dr Komljenovic was EU Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Bristol, UK.
Dr Komljenovic was actively involved in higher education policy-making in Slovenia and in Europe. At the European level, she has been member of the “E4 group” where she participated in preparing policy and plans for the establishment of the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR).  She has been member of the Bologna Follow Up group. She is still active as ENQA evaluator of quality assurance agencies and as evaluator of higher education institutions for some national agencies in Europe. Dr Komljenovic is Appeals Committee member at EQAR. At the national level, she was advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology in Slovenia, where she contributed to the legislative changes relating to quality assurance in higher education and to the National Programme for Higher Education 2011–2020. After that she worked for the University of Ljubljana in internal quality assurance and institutional development.  
Dr Komljenovic participated in several EU Educational reform projects and participated in numerous events and conferences on higher education across Europe.
