Martina Vukasovic is a postdoc researcher at the Centre for Higher Education Governance Ghent (CHEGG) at the Department of Sociology, Ghent University. She defended her PhD on change of policy and organization in higher education in the context of European integration in June 2014 at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Oslo. From November 2009 to November 2013 she worked at the Department of Education at the University of Oslo as a research fellow, affiliated with the HEIK (Higher Education: Institutional Dynamics and Knowledge Cultures) research group and the NATED (Norwegian Graduate School in Education). From 2007 to 2009 she was the Director of the Centre for Education Policy (CEP) in Belgrade, Serbia. CEP is an independent multi-disciplinary research centre, focusing on various aspects of education policy in Serbia and the South-East Europe. She continues to support the work of CEP by serving on its Governing Board. She also worked before for the Alternative Academic Educational Network (AAEN) in Belgrade and the Council of Europe’ Higher Education and Research Division. In early 2000s, Martina was active in the European Students’ Union (then called ESIB) and she chaired the organisation in 2002.
