Catharine Stimpson, member of the Governing Council of the Magna Charta Observatory was invited to give the keynote speech on Academic Freedom at the SGroup – Universities in Europe network's General Assembly that took place on 28 October 2021.
The topic focused on ‘Responsible International Higher Education 2021 - transformative modes for sustainable and hybrid engagement’.
Her contribution aimed to strengthen the cause of academic freedom in general and the mission of the Magna Charta in particular, as well as promoting it among SGroup members from Europe and beyond.
