We remember with gratitude Professor Fabio Roversi-Monaco (1938–2026), Rector of the University of Bologna (1985–2000).
The drafting and signing of the Magna Charta Universitatum in Bologna by 388 Rectors in 1988, which is now signed by over 1000 Rectors from 94 countries, constituted one of the most far-sighted and enduring expressions of his vision of the role and international value of the university.
