Montreal, 7-9 June 2016
This year's SAR Congress at McGill University, Montréal was attended by some 150 representatives of the world wide SAR network, mainly from Europe and North America. In formal as well as informal settings they have been sharing good practices, establishing new contacts and planning future co-operations in the network.
Magna Charta Observatory was part of this.
The overall theme (Universities in a dangerous world) was discussed in plenary and parallel sessions on basically three issues: Supporting Higher Education in the Refugee Crisis, Values in International Partnerships and How to Protect Freedom of Expression.
The President of the Magna Charta Observatory, Sijbolt Noorda contributed to the debate.
